Core vs. Community

GTFO is moving to a two-tiered roster: CORE & Community.

The reason for this change is to allow for a greater degree of training & seriousness in operations while still maintaining the intent of building a broader community.

BLUF

  • CORE roster members will be those who are a part of an Operational Squadron (479th, 449th, 507th, VF-141, 19th)
  • CORE roster members will have an activity expectation & requirement.
  • Community members will not have an activity expectation / requirement.
  • Members may freely transition from CORE to Community as their available commitment level changes.
  • No one will be removed from GTFO simply because they are unable to commit to an activity standard.

GTFO is a community first and foremost and life always comes first.

Reasoning for Roster Change:

  • Many members would like to have an increased level of realism in operations.
  • GTFO as a whole is unable to expect a level of proficiency in operations if we also do not expect folks to show up to trainings.

It takes a lot of time and effort for mission makers, training coordinators, squadron leadership, etc… to create content. Having folks commit to showing up, respects that time commitment from those content creators.

Key Points

There will not be a cap on the # of members who are assigned to an Operational Squadron. However, certain operations / campaigns may have a limit on the number of slots available for certain airframes - this, as it has been from the get go, is up to the mission makers to determine what fits best in the scenario.

Members may move back and forth from the CORE and Community Rosters as their available time commitment changes. Real Life Comes First.

No one will be removed from GTFO simply because they cannot commit to an activity requirement.
If you cannot commit to the time requirement - you are always welcome to remain in the Community Roster.

Community

Who is Community for?

  • All members of GTFO are part of the community Roster by simply putting on the GTFO | tag.

Community Expectations

      • CORE roster members hold priority.

    • Access to the training servers will be granted, however, CORE membership holds priority.
      • Meaning - if you are flying on a server, and a training sortie is planned by an Operational Squadron - it takes precedence.
  • Campaign Server Access
    • Only granted if filling a non-priority slot (see above)
  • Operational Training
    • You may have access to these trainings if you are filling in a Operational Slot (see above)
